One of the world's most famous actresses, Angelina Jolie, will visit the northern Adriatic archipelago of Brijuni as a guest of the actor Rade Serbedzija and the Ulysses theatre, theatre spokeswoman Marina Vujcic said on Thursday.
"She will watch the play King Lear the theatre's ensemble has been performing on the Mali Brijun island for ten years," Vujcic said.
Serbedzija, a Croatian actor with an international career, plays the main role in the play directed by his wife Lenka Udovicki.
Jolie will arrive at Pula airport aboard her private plane on Friday, after which she will set out for Brijuni.
Press accreditation for the play will not be available.
According to unofficial sources, Jolie will visit the Ulysses theatre to offer Serbedzija a role in her directorial debut. The making of the film is expected to start soon, with the plot taking place in the former Yugoslavia.
Jolie, who is also known for her humanitarian work and her role as an ambassador for UNHCR, visited a refugee camp in the Bosnian town of Gorazde with her husband Brad Pitt in April this year, after which they paid a short visit to Montenegro.
