Davor Skrlec submitted his resignation on Thursday as Assistant Environment Minister for personal reasons, the Environment Ministry said in a statement adding that the government was now to announce its decision on on Skrlec's resignation.
The Ministry said in a statement that Skrlec's resignation was not connected with the arrival of new Environment Minister Mihael Zmajlovic, adding that Skrlec was resigning in order to pursue his career as a scientist.
Skrlec also said in his letter of resignation that he had a professional opinion about about some investment project which he had already publicly stated.
