The governor of the Croatian National Bank (HNB), Zeljko Rohatinski, is hospitalised, the HNB confirmed to press on Tuesday.
"We can inform you that the condition because of which governor Rohatinski has been hospitalised is not affecting his ability to work which is why we do not think it is necessary to issue an official press release," the central bank said in statement.
The Novi List daily said in its online edition that Rohatinski has been hospitalised for several days already, that his arm injury has been treated and that he would return to work Wednesday.
