The Croatian National Bank (HNB) on Wednesday intervened on the foreign exchange market by selling EUR 197 million at the average exchange rate of HRK 7.532527 for one euro.
The HNB thus collected from banks 1.48 billion kuna in an attempt to deal with the appreciation of the euro.
The kuna/euro mean rate of exchange, to apply as of Thursday, is HRK 7.532976 to EUR 1.
