The head of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mustafa Ceric, on Thursday asked the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Bosnian State Prosecutor's Office to issue a statement reacting to the insulting remarks which the president of the Bosnian Serb entity Milorad Dodik made about Muslims, saying that such statements could provoke new conflicts in the Balkans.

Ceric said that the rhetoric used by Dodik who said he did not believe in good intentions of Muslims, was similar to that of Biljana Plavsic "from pre-genocide phase who said that Muslims were genetically damaged material which resulted in genocide carried out by Serb military forces against the non-Serb population."

The letter by the head of the Islamic community was also forwarded to the Office of the High Representative, ambassadors of Peace Implementation Council and international human rights associations.
