Croatia's national team did not make the finals of the 2012 EHF European Men's Handball Championship, losing 22-26 (14-13) to the hosts, Serbia, in a game played in Belgrade on Friday.
On Sunday, Croatia will play for third place against Spain, while Serbia and Denmark will play in the finals.
The Croatian team was cheered by about 200 fans from Croatia, most of whom had been escorted from the Croatian border to Belgrade by police without any incidents.
