According to the World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) Croatia is ranked 56th of a total of 58 leading world economies, the National Competitiveness Council said in a statement on Wednesday.
The WCY measures 58 countries on the basis of 327 criteria.
The WCY is the world"s most renowned and comprehensive annual report on the competitiveness of nations, ranking and analyzing how a nation"s environment creates and sustains the competitiveness of enterprises. The report is compiled and published by the Institute for Management Development (IMD) from Lausanne, Switzerland.
This is the fifth time Croatia has been included in the report.
Singapore is at the helm of the list, followed by Hong Kong and the United States.
