Croatia's inflation rate slid to 4.4% in November on the year, which was the second consecutive month with the weakening of inflation pressures, according to the figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (DZS). The annual inflation rate in October was 4.8%.
The prices of personal consumption goods and services, measured by the consumer price index, went down by 0.2% from October to November, and went up by 4.4% in comparison to November 2011.
This was a lower inflation rate than expected, given that five macroeconomic analysts, polled by Hina agency, expected inflation rates ranging between 4.5% and 4.9%.
From the beginning of this year, inflation rates went up every month on the year to reach 5% in September, a record high in the last four years. In October the annual inflation rate decreased to 4.8%, and it further slid to 4.4% in November.
