Croatia's best tennis player, Marin Cilic, defended the title at the ATP World Tour in Chennai, India, on Sunday by beating Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3) after two hours and 40 minutes.
This was Cilic's sixth final and fourth title -- he won two in Chennai andone each in New Heaven and Zagreb.
This was also Cilic's first victory over Wawrinka, who is 21st in the worldrankings and who defeated Cilic four times in the past.
