Croatia's industrial output in June declined by 2.7 per cent from May and by 4.0 per cent from June 2009, according to figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics on Tuesday.
By comparison, industrial output in May was down 3.4 per cent year on year, and the decline was sharper than expected by macroeconomists.
Six macroeconomists predicted a decline of 1.2 per cent in May in relation to the same month of 2009.
Energy production in June rose by 12.12 per cent, while all other production sectors recorded declines on the annual level.
The production of capital products dropped by 7.8 per cent, intermediary products fell by 7.4 per cent, non-durable consumer goods declined by 4.5 per cent and durable goods by 1.9 per cent.
