The registered unemployment rate in Croatia in July was 17.5%, or 0.2% up from June, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday.
After a decrease was seen in the registered unemployment rate for four months in a row, mainly due to seasonal hiring in the tourist sector, July was the first month to see a rise in the registered unemployment rate.
On the year, the registered unemployment rate went up 0.7 percentage points.
The registered unemployment rate is calculated as a ratio between the number of job-seekers registered with the National Employment Service and the active labour force.
