Retail sales in Croatia in May rose by 4.9% in nominal terms and by 4% in real terms in relation to April, while in comparison with May 2011 they fell by 1% in nominal terms and by 4.4% in real terms, according to figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Thursday.
Retail sales in the first two months of 2012 slightly increased on the annual level, after which they began a downward trend over the next three months, reaching the lowest point in April with a year on year decline in real terms of 7.3%.
