Croatia to host three NATO military exercises

At the closed part of its session on Thursday, the Croatian government adopted a decision on the participation of Croatian troops in NATO/Partnership for Peace (PfP) exercises, of which three are to be held in Croatia and five abroad.

The three NATO/PfP exercises that will be held in Croatia are: "CMX 2011", due in March; "Adriatic Viking 2011", scheduled for April and May, and "Immediate Response 2011", to be held in June.

Croatian troops will take part in the following NATO/PfP exercises abroad: "Norex 2001" in Norway and the United States in February, "Adrion Cax 2011" in Greece in March, "Phoenix Express 2011" in Greece in May, "Crominn 2011" in the US in May and June, and "Adrion 2011 Livex/Marex" in Montenegro in June.

The government also adopted decisions on the rotation, number and organisational structure of Croatian troops in United Nations peace missions and in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission in Afghanistan.
