The Pula County Court's investigating judge on Monday extended by another 72 hours detention for Vinka Cetinski and three other suspects, accused of wrongdoings in real estate transactions in Istria they had performed on behalf of the Kermas Ulaganja company.

According to the court, detention was extended in order to deal with the extensive material relating to the case.

In the next three days, the investigating judge will decide on the prosecution's request to set one-month detention for the four suspects as well as for Zeljan Hrvatin, who has not been within the reach of the Istrian police since they began bringing suspects in to the police station in Pula last Friday.

Vinke Cetinska, a former Croatian deputy tourism minister, as well as Marin Sorgo, Romina Hrvatin, Gordan Dobrovic, Zeljko Bilic, Boris Sorgo and Zeljan Hrvatin are accused of having bought, on behalf of Kermas Ulaganja, stakes in companies that they previously founded at prices that significantly exceeded the real value of those stakes, as well as of stating in purchase contracts prices that were higher than the actual purchase prices. They kept for themselves the difference between the price stated in the contracts and the actual price.

Zeljko Bilic and Gordan Dobrovic were also arrested but were released after questioned by the investigating judge on Saturday.

Last October, Danko Koncar, who ownes Kermas Ulaganja, pressed charges against Cetinski, his long-time associate and director of Kermas Ulaganja, for fraud and abuse of authority. He said he had authorised her to buy land in Istria and that she defrauded him of 16.5 million euros.
