Nikica Marovic, 20, a member of the Bad Blue Boys group of supporters of the Dinamo football club, was sentenced by the Zagreb County to four years in juvenile detention for having injured policeman Kristijan Trokter in May 2010.
The 34-year-old policeman lost an eye in an incident at Maksimir stadium when Marovic threw a very strong firecracker at him.
Marovic was found guilty of undermining security and of attacking a public official during riots at a match between Dinamo and Hajduk, and will be remanded in custody until the final ruling in this case.
The convict insisted during trial that he was innocent.
