Robert Jezic, the majority owner of the petrochemical company Dioki, on Wednesday afternoon signed an agreement on Dioki's ownership restructuring under which he ceases to be the company's majority owner, Croatian Television said quoting a report from a business news web portal.
Economy Minister Radimir Cacic said on Tuesday that agreement had been reached with Dioki's major creditors under which Jezic's stake in the company would be reduced to one percent and the creditors would turn their claims from Dioki into ownership stakes in the company.
Cacic also said he expected Jezic to sign an agreement to that effect on Wednesday.
After that, a new management board is expected to be appointed and within a period of one week, Dioki workers' overdue salaries are expected to be paid so that the company could resume production on new foundations and in an entirely different way, said Cacic.
The government will discuss Dioki at its session on Thursday.
