The president of the Bosnian Serb entity, Republika Srpska, said on Saturday his party supported Bosnia and Herzegovina's "territorial integrity and international capacity" but did not agree to any imposed solutions to the country's problems.
"The support of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats (SNSD) to BiH's territorial integrity and international capacity is not at issue, but there is huge disagreement with imposed solutions," Milorad Dodik said after a meeting of the SNSD leadership.
His support for the preservation of Bosnia's territorial integrity followed after a series of criticisms he received over his earlier statements that the country's Constitution should include mechanisms that would make it possible to dissolve the country and his insistence on Republika Srpska's sovereignty.
Dodik said the SNSD leadership also discussed the consequences on Bosnia of Croatia's forthcoming accession to the European Union.
