In the past 24 hours, the snow and extreme cold in Bosnia and Herzegovina have claimed three more lives, rescue services and medical teams have confirmed.
Rescuers have found two dead elderly women in their homes in the village of Goranci near Mostar.
The women are believed to have frozen to death just like a 36-year-old man from Grabovica, north of Mostar, who was found in the snow near a local road.
The situation is the most difficult in the Herzegovina region, where problems with power supply have been reported for the fifth consecutive day. The eastern part of Mostar, Neum and Nevesinje have been without electricity for five days.
Power outages have caused problems in water supply because pumps at water wells are not working.
Machinery and hundreds of people, including members of the Bosnian army, on Wednesday continued removing snow from roads which has been causing big problems in traffic since the end of last week.
