The trade union of Croatian farmers (SHS), which organised a protest of disgruntled farmers in Vukovar-Srijem County, will take part in Monday's meeting with buyers and Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina, on condition that the meeting also be attended by Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and Finance Minister Slavko Linic.

SHS president Tomislav Pokrovac said on Sunday that if PM Milanovic and Minister Linic fail to attend the meeting with Minister Jakovina, SHS representatives will walk out.

"We are not interested in Minister Jakovina and we have nothing to discuss with him. Everything he had promised he failed to deliver and it seem to us his primary objective is to reduce farmers to poverty," Pokrovac said.

He underscored he was exceptionally satisfied with the organisation of farmers' protests in Vukovar-Srijem country where protests are held at seven locations for four consecutive days.
