In order to overcome the blockade in efforts to form a new government, Slovenia's President Danilo Tuerk is reportedly planning to nominate Marko Voljc, a financial expert, to be a new Prime Minister-Designate.

The 63-year-old banker Marko Voljc used to work for the Slovenian National Bank, the World Bank in Washington and he was at the helm of the Ljubljanska Banka managing board.

The Slovenian STA news agency reported about Voljc as the candidate for the next PM-Designate. The Office of President Tuerk declined to comment on the information. There are some speculations that the president will hold a news conference on the matter later on Wednesday.
