Croatian General Ante Gotovina has said that during war operation he had excellent cooperation from generals of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, sending his special regards to the war time commander of the 5th Corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Atif Dudakovic, adding that there are no grounds to charge Dudakovic with any crime.
"I've had excellent cooperation from generals of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina and everyone is aware of the outcome of our cooperation," said Gotovina in an interview published by the Sarajevo-based Dnevni Avaz daily on Thursday.
"The most important thing right now is that I am free and that I am finally home. There are no words to describe it. Emotions are running high. I am so happy because the truth has prevailed," Gotovina said.
Recalling the war days and Operation Storm, Gotovina said he had excellent cooperation from Bosnian Army generals Dudakovic, Mehmed Alagic and Vahid Karavelic, commanders of the 5th, the 7th and the 1s corps.
Gotovina reiterated his message. "The war is over and let's turn to the future."
"Let us be good neighbours, let us look forward and let us be human being in the full sense of this word," Gotovina said.
