Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor said on Wednesday the government would relieve of duty Bianca Matkovic, a minister without a portfolio, and appoint her the economy ministry state secretary for economic diplomacy.
"We made the decision together," Kosor said at a government session, voicing confidence that Matkovic would launch projects which had been sitting on the shelf at the economy ministry for a long time.
Kosor said the decision to relieve Matkovic of ministerial duties would be adopted at the closed-door part of the session.
Also ton Wednesday, the government appointed Davor Bozinovic, a state secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Kosor's special envoy for southeast Europe. Bozinovic will retain his position as the foreign ministry state secretary for political issues.
