Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp reiterated that midfielder Luka Modric is not for sale and that he would not sell him even for £100 million. Modric has been having a prolific season with Spurs this year and is easily one of the club's best players.

With the 25-year-old supporting the offensive line, Redknapp’s side has been propelled to fourth place in the Premier League table and also earned a spot in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Rumours of a potential sale of the Croat have circulated this season as the News of the World reported that Sir Alex Ferguson, looking for a successor to Paul Scholes, had Modric on his radar and would offer £35m for the creative midfielder to join Manchester United.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Harry Redknapp said: "He's such a fantastic player for us. You can't replace people like him. He's not just a great player, he's a special person as well. He comes in every day and gets on with his job. He never gives you a problem. He's a quiet man off the pitch. He's amazing."

The Spurs boss added: "If we want to build a club and compete to get in the Champions League every year we have to keep our best players.”
