The ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party and the Croatian Civic Party (HGS) of Split Mayor Zeljko Kerum on Tuesday signed a coalition agreement for constituencies nos. 9 and 10.
The agreement on election and post-election cooperation was signed in the coastal city of Zadar by HDZ leader Jadranka Kosor and HGS chief Kerum.
Kosor said that surveys showed that the HDZ and the HGS would win the most votes in the two constituencies.
Asked if the HDZ would form coalitions ahead of the December 4 parliamentary election with other parties as well, Kosor said that it was possible and that negotiations were under way in some other constituencies.
Constituency No. 9 covers Lika-Senj, Zadar and Sibenik-Knin counties as well as the northern part of Split-Dalmatia County. Constituency No. 10 covers the southern part of Split-Dalmatia County and Dubrovnik-Neretva County.
