Croatia's best high jumper Blanka Vlasic finished at the second place at the women's high jump event while Croatian Martin Maric finished at the third place at the men's discus throw event at the World Challenge Meeting Madrid on Saturday.
Both American Brigetta Barrett and Vlasic cleared 1.98 metres, but the U.S high jumper had fewer attempts which was why she was ranked first. Ruth Beitia of Spain was third with 1.95.
In the men's discus throw the winner was Yennifer Frank Casanas (Spain) with 63.00. He was followed by Jorge Y Fernandez of Cuba (62.92) and Maric (62.84).
