Hirscher wins men's slalom, Kostelic 5th

Marcel Hirscher won the men's slalom to give host nation Austria their first individual gold at the Alpine skiing world championships in the final of the ten events on Sunday.

Felix Neureuther of Germany was second and Mario Matt of Austria was third.

Croatian Ivica Kostelic who was one of the favourites but he finished the race fifth.
