The Management Board of the INA oil company said on Thursday that the oil refinery in Sisak would not be closed down, nor were there any such plans.
"We underline that the Management Board did not propose to the Supervisory Board or the company's shareholders that the refinery be closed down," INA's public relations service said in a statement on media reports claiming that the refinery in Sisak, located some 50 kilometres southeast of Zagreb, would be closed.
The company recalled a previous statement saying that the refinery would resume production in November after repair work was completed on its plants following a fire on June 20.
The repairs are now in their final stage, INA said.
