World renowned Israeli scientist Daniel Shechtman, who won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2011 for his work his findings on quasicrystals, will be a special guest of the Open Days at the Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Zagreb.
The RBI Open Days will be held under the auspices of President Ivo Josipovic on 18-20 April.
Shechtman, a professor of materials science at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology will meet with gifted pupils and hold the lecture "Discovery of Quasi-periodic Materials".
