Earlier last week, wine producers from Croatia's northern Adriatic peninsula of Istria were presented with the awards they won at the London Wine Festival, held on May 18-20.
The award winners are the wineries Matosevic, Trapan, Roxanich, Kozlovic, Benvenuti, AB Vina and Agrolaguna, the alPheRa PR agency reported on Friday.
The awards were presented by a leading world wine magazine, Decanter, which is the organiser of the London Wine Festival.
The Istrian wines which received awards or were commended at the fair were presented along with other wines from Croatia.
Croatian wine expert Sasa Spiranec held a lecture on Croatian wines that was attended by international sommeliers, restaurant owners, retailers and wine importers.
The London Wine Festival is a leading international wine fair and a meeting point for the world's leading wine producers and distributors.
