Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic's initiative and his visit to Serbia are excellent, while a sense of timing will be critical for the meeting of the two countries' heads of state, Croatian President Ivo Josipovic said in Zagreb on Thursday.
"The best meetings are those organised at times when wanted results can be achieved," Josipovic told reporters.
"I believe that Prime Minister Milanovic's visit to Belgrade was a good, excellent move, I believe it will help further continuation of cooperation between Croatia and Serbia," Josipovic said.
Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic met his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic in Belgrade on Wednesday and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic complained about the Milanovic-Dacic meeting having been held before he met his Croatian counterpart Ivo Josipovic.
"President Nikolic's complaint is a possible philosophy, but there is also another philosophy, and that is to do something first at other levels so that the meeting of the two countries' presidents could truly be the crown, a new beginning in relations between the two countries," Josipovic said.
He believes that conditions need to be created for his meeting with Nikolic.
