Croatian President Ivo Josipovic is travelling to New York next week to attend a UN summit on millennium development goals and the opening of the UN General Assembly's 65th Session, Josipovic's office said in a press release on Monday.
At a dinner on the eve of the session, which he will attend for the first time, Josipovic is scheduled to meet US President Barack Obama.
Josipovic will stay in the US from September 19-25.
In New York, he is scheduled to meet representatives of B'nai B'rith, attend the opening of the Clinton Global Initiative, hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Turkey, the Czech Republic, Finland, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Chile, Costa Rica, Kuwait and Cyprus, and give a talk at Columbia University on judiciaries in transition.
Josispovic will end his US visit in Los Angeles, where he is to meet representatives of the American Jewish Committee and Croatian emigrants.
