Kostelic wins Alpine ski World Cup men's slalom

Croatia's Ivica Kostelic won the Alpine ski World Cup men's slalom race at Beaver Creek, Colorado on Thursday, scoring his 19th career victory and the 12th in his strongest discipline.

Italy's Cristian Deville came second (+0.14), while Austria's Marcel Hirscher was third (+0.48).

Croatia's other skier in the race, Natko Zrncic Dim, did not finish the first run.

Kostelic has jumped in the World Cup rankings from 24th to 9th place with 170 points.
