Croatia's best skier Ivica Kostelic on Wednesday won the night World Cup slalom in Flachau, Austria, which is the 20th victory in his career and his 13th slalom victory.
The current World Cup champion was the fastest in the first race and was fifth in the second race, which was enough for his victory.
Andre Myhrer was second and Italian Cristian DeVille third.
With 100 new points from Wednesday's slalom, Kostelic has moved up from ninth to fifth place in the overall World Cup rankings with 329 points. Marcel Hirscher has kept his leadership in the rankings with 425 points, Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway is second with 416 points, and Ted Ligety of the United States third with 385 points.
