The Krsko nuclear power plant could be reconnected to the grid by the end of the week, the Slovenian Nuclear Safety Administration said on its website on Tuesday.
The agency's inspection team is overseeing preparations in the Krsko plant aimed at removing some difficulties and reconnecting the plant to the grid.
The Krsko nuclear power plant was shut down automatically last Wednesday. Krsko officials said in a statement that the cause of the automatic suspension of production in the plant, which was labelled as "an abnormal event" or "a zero-level accident" without impact on the environment, was an unexpected shutdown of a 380-kilovolt transmission line running to Zagreb.
The nuclear plant in the eastern Slovenian town of Krsko is jointly owned by Slovenia and Croatia.
