The Krsko nuclear power plant was reconnected to the grid at 3 AM on Wednesday, the plant said on its website.

The Krsko nuclear power plant was shut down automatically last Wednesday. Krsko officials said in a statement that the cause of the automatic suspension of production in the plant, which was labelled as "an abnormal event" or "a zero-level accident" without impact on the environment, was an unexpected shutdown of a 380-kilovolt transmission line running to Zagreb.

The Krsko nuclear power plant said in a statement on Wednesday that these and some other difficulties have been removed, adding that the plant's disconnection from the electrical grid had not impact on the people or the environment.

The nuclear plant in the eastern Slovenian town of Krsko is jointly owned by Slovenia and Croatia.
