A 36-year-old man believed to be involved in an incident, when a glass bottle with inflammable liquid was thrown at the Serbian consulate-general in Rijeka, was arrested on Thursday in that Croatian coastal city, the local police reported on Friday.

The incident happened on early Wednesday morning, and the bottle did not catch fire.

An investigation into the suspect is still under way.

The police established the perpetrator had tried to set the liquid on fire and after that he had hurled the bottle in front of the consular office's door. No damage was caused in the incident.
