Police in the northwestern Bosnian town of Bihac have identified and arrested persons who committed the murder of Catholic priest Mile Ivancic, local acting police commissioner Marijan Simic said on Monday.
Simic told a press conference that ten persons had been brought in for questioning as part of the investigation into the murder that was committed on February 8. "Among them are the perpetrators," Simic said, adding that details would be announced on Tuesday after the questioning of the suspects.
Mile Ivancic, parish priest in the village of Zavalje, about 20 kilometres from Bihac, was found dead in the rectory on February 9. An autopsy found that his death was caused by violence.
The murder has been condemned by government officials, political parties and religious communities in the country.
