Sweden's Andre Myhrer won a men's World Cup slalom race at Sljeme, Zagreb, on Thursday. Croatia's best Alpine skier Ivica Kostelic came second, while Swede Mattias Hargin finished third.
In the overall World Cup standings, Austrian Michael Walchhofer leads with 409 points, followed by Silvan Zurbriggen of Switzerland with 396 points and Ted Ligety of the United States with 376 points. Kostelic is forth with 359 points.
In the slalom rankings, Myhrer leads with 189 points, followed by Kostelic with 153 points and Jean-Baptiste Grange of France with 122 points.
The Sljeme race was watched by about 20,000 spectators, among them Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic and Croatian Olympic Committee Chairman Zlatko Matesa.
The event was covered live by 20 TV stations from 16 countries, including Eurosport and the American network Universal Sports.
