No bids have been submitted in the tender for the locations Hidrobaza and Pineta within the development project Brijuni Rivijera, which expired on Wednesday, Brijuni Rivijera company CEO Ratomir Ivicic said.
The lack of investor interest had to do to a great extent with the decision to declare some locations in this project cultural properties at the time when bids were being invited, he said.
"Intensive talks are under way between officials of the tourism and culture ministries and I believe their outcome will be good," Ivicic told the press, disappointed with the fact that no bids had been submitted for the two locations.
"A government commission, headed by the Prime Minister, will analyse the situation in the next ten days and most probably adjust the model to the new situation," said Ivicic.
The tender for three locations in the development project Brijuni Rivijera was announced last September, with the expiry date of January 16, when it was extended until May 16 for two of the locations, Hidrobaza and Pineta.
The deadline for the submission of bids for the location Sveta Katarina - Monumenti expired on January 16 and the only bid was submitted by Kermas Vod Cetiri, a company owned by businessman Danko Koncar, and the government accepted it in mid-April.
The development project Brijuni Rivijera at the locations Hidrobaza (Pula) and Pineta (Fazana) is based on concessions to build tourist facilities and operate them for a period of 66 years.
