The National Security Council on Wednesday held a session calling on state bodies to step up work on detecting abuse, non-transparent investment and all other types of crime regarding media ownership.
"The National Security Council calls on state bodies to continue and intensify, within their remit, work on detecting cases of abuse and non-transparent investment and all other types of crime regarding investment in media ownership."
The relevant bodies should analyse the existing legal regulations, propose measures aimed at improving conditions for achieving full transparency of ownership and capital investment in all media and preventing all non-transparent investment and abuse, the VNS said in a statement after the session.
