A total of 1,369,316 Croatians were employed in January, which was 0.9 percent (12,360 people) down from December 2010, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Monday.
The number of the jobless increased by 4.5 percent to 334,378 in January on the month.
Croatia's registered unemployment rate increased from 18.8 percent in December to 19.6 percent in January.
