One fireman was seriously and two workers lightly injured while putting out a fire that broke out in the Studenac beverage factory's warehouse in Lipik, eastern Croatia, on Monday morning.
Volunteer firefighting units from Lipik and Pakrac extinguished the blaze shortly after 1 p.m.
Several people were admitted to hospital for inhaling smoke while fighting the fire.
The fire was reported to the police at 7.15 a.m. It broke out in an area between warehouses which contained packaging material and causes extensive damage, local police spokeswoman Ivana Radic said, adding that experts from Zagreb would establish the cause.
