Sandra Perkovic of Croatia won the women's discus throw championship at this season's last Diamond League meeting in Brussels on Friday by throwing 66.93 metres and setting a Croatian record.
The 20-year-old improved her national record from March by eight centimetres.
The Brussels victory is Perkovic's second in the Diamond League this year after winning the European Championships in Barcelona. She also finished first in New York. Thanks to those first places, a second place in London and third places in Doha and Paris, she ranks second among Diamond League women discus throwers after Yarelis Barrios of Cuba.
In Brussels, Barrios was second with a throw of 65.96 metres, followed by Yanfeng Li of China, with 64.74 metres.
