Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic announced on Monday that the government would "reasonably quickly" introduce into parliament the border agreement with Bosnia and Herzegovina which was signed in 1999 by the then presidents Franjo Tudjman of Croatia and Alija Izetbegovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"That is in Croatian interests, just as is the Peljesac bridge (...) It is also a message to some EU states, our neighbours, that what has been signed by legal, legitimate state representatives should be ratified. Otherwise, you are not serious, your intentions are not good, you are misleading the other party. We've had enough of such politics," Milanovic said in an interview with Croatian Radio.

Milanovic said that Croatia had only two options - ratify the agreement or start from scratch. "In this country there are a certain number of people who have simply wanted a low-intensity conflict all along. They live off it. Without conflicts they do not exist," he added.
