Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosot said on Friday that in 2011 her government would focus on solving the unemployment issue, underlining that last year 20 percent more people had found jobs than the year before which, she said, was a good indicator.

These are good indicators and we are doing everything we can to stop the unemployment growth, but we are also working on projects that could help reduce illiquidity, Kosor said at a wreath-laying ceremony on the occasion of the 19th anniversary of Croatia's international recognition.

"By the end of the week we will comb through all public companies once more to establish who owes what and how much and then we will take further steps," the PM said.
