Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on Wednesday issued a message on the occasion of Ramadan Bajram, wishing the Islamic believers in Croatia, on his and the government's behalf, to pass the holiday time "in peace and happiness, joy and family togetherness."
The model of organising the matter of religious communities in Croatia facilitates that each Muslim can celebrate their holidays with full joy and pleasure as proud believers and members of Croatian society, the president of the Islamic Community in Croatia, Mufti Aziz ef. Hasanovic, said at the end of this year's Ramadan month of fasting.
In his message for Ramadan Bajram - 8 August - Mufti Hasanovic expresses hope that this model will reach those who are responsible for peace in the world "so that in the future we do not have to witness the unkind events we are seeing today".
