Police are searching for a person who set an EU flag on fire during Wednesday evening's anti-government protests in Zagreb, police said on Thursday, adding that this act of vandalism carries a prison sentence of between three months and three years.

The EU flag was set on fire outside the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

The protesters last night set on fire the flags of the opposition SDP and the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
