Croatian President Ivo Josipovic on Tuesday received European Union Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn for talks on the European Commission's proposal on how Croatia should cope with challenges in the implementation of structural and cohesion funds in the 2014-2020 budget period.
Josipovic pointed out the importance of Croatia being prepared as well as possible for the absorption of EU funds, according to a press release issued by the Office of the Croatian President.
The two officials also considered the role of Croatia in stabilisation of the region.
During his stay in Zagreb, the EU commissioner also held talks with Croatian parliamentarians Dragica Zgrebec and Daniel Mondekar.
