The president of the nonparliamentary party called "Action for a Better Croatia", Zeljko Sacic, on Wednesday said his party would stage a rally in Zagreb on Thursday in protest of the signing of the Accession Treaty between Croatia and the European Union, scheduled for Friday.

The protest will be held in Zagreb's central square of Ban Jelacic beginning at 1700 hrs.

The rally against Croatia's accession to the EU will be organised by the Action for a Better Croatia as well as by some other nonparliamentary parties, Sacic told a news conference in Zagreb.

He said that Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and President Ivo Josipovic, who will sign the Treaty in Brussels, would be the biggest traitors of Croatia's national interests.

Milovan Sibl of the Only Croatia party agreed with Sacic saying that the signing of the Treaty would be "the final act of high treason".
