For the umpteenth time since arriving at Spurs, Luka Modric drew applauses from Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp. Modric played a terrific match against current league leaders Manchester United on Sunday, and Harry had difficulty finding the superlatives to describe Modric’s play.
Tottenham and Man Utd played a goalless draw at White Hart Lane in the 23rd round of the Barclay’s Premier League. This time, the Spurs’ top player on the pitch was Luka Modric.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp sang praises for his miniscule midfield magician and reiterated that the Croatian is good enough for any club in the world.
‘He's an amazing footballer, the little man takes the ball in the tightest areas with people around him, wriggling out of situations. He could play in any team in the world. You will play a tight ball in to Luka Modric with someone closing him but you might not play it to some other people for fear of losing the ball and then bang, it's in the back of your net,’ Redknapp told Sky Sports following the draw.
